The premier free, open-source browser, far safer than IE and more standards compliant, with features such as tabed browsing, pop-up blocking, interface themes, and over 600 free extensions that allow you to customize your experience, it’s sure to provide most users with a major surfing upgrade.
Considered by many to be the world’s best browser it certainly is a better choice than IE (don’t take my word for it) it is available in more than 40 languages, while since version 2 it also includes inline spell checking, resuming of your browsing session and built-in phishing protection among other useful features.
Download Firefox or find out more by clicking here.

What if… this is real? October 23, 2006

This video features a newly developed robotic cop patrolling the streets of Johannesburg, South Africa. Well, not really. Not yet anyway… This is actually a spec corporate video created by Neill Blomkamp of The Embassy Digital Effects Inc. for a fictional company named “Tetra Vaal” – dream or nightmare coming true? Watch and read on…
So it’s computer genarated (and great job of it too), but for the split second (or more) that you thought that could be true, what feelings went through you? …. creepy, unsettling, and amazing.
If you wish to follow the controversy here are some links of more or less different points of view :

Another one of those huge mishaps presenting in-frond of a live audience and on TV “windows media center” … well hoping to… and hoping… and nothing in the end.
The only reason to feel good for something like that is the numerous times that as windows users we had to put up with such mishaps ourselves.

Well a bit discriminate to be honest, but that’s all – just a tiny bit actually. Aside of some personal comments on Bill Gates himself so much more is so true and typical of the great MS that we all know (especially windows users) and “hate”(?). Though evil maybe not, tasteless as stated herein oh yes indeed, and in more than one ways.
Reconsidering my above on Mr. Gates, I have to admit he has produced some major “goofs”, I mean no batteries on the remote(!?) and you got to love the Macintosh statement (honest man though).
And another thought that just dawned on me, isn’t it strange that most of this type of videos are created by mac users (like the infamous “macuser” who’s behind this one) even though windows users have suffered the most of MS hastes and policies?
the fate of net neutrality laws… October 22, 2006

… and the people that rule on them. Funny or scary? somehow probably both, watch it and decide.
What if the legislator who will likely determine the fate of net neutrality laws over the next 20 years actually does not know anything about the internet? Scary enough, it’s actually true.
Meet Republican Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska.
Jon Stewart, host on the “Daily Show”, exposed the Alaska Senator for his lack of understanding about the vehicle of information that any six-year-old could tell you about.

A great animation not only artistically but also for the cause it supports and thoughts it trigers. Created by Benjamen Stefan and Lutz Vogel (website). Watch , think and react.
